Prior to law school, she was awarded the J Fulbright Scholarship to Kenya where she conducted research on the "not more than two-thirds" gender principle and its application to the judiciary. She was an SEO Law Fellow at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP in Wilmington, DE. Gerti is a Board Advisor to <em>Yielding Accomplished African Women,</em> Ghana’s first finance and technology talent accelerator for women.</p><p dir="ltr"> Formerly, she was a legal assistant at the Center for American Progress and an intern in the Washington, D.C., office of Senator Chris Coons (D-DE). Wilson is a recipient of the Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship which afforded her the opportunity to study abroad in South Africa.
